At the starting line of my last 100-miler — this October, every mile is for a kid who needs a safe room
Rooms4Hope
Hope Rescued walks directly into some of Louisville’s hardest situations — reaching women trapped in sex trafficking, homelessness, and addiction, and helping them find a way out. Many of these women are moms.
Right now, when a mother is finally getting the counseling and treatment she needs to heal, there isn’t always a safe place for her children to be while that happens.
That’s where Rooms4Hope comes in — transforming lives by making sure no child has to wait in uncertainty while their mom finds hope in a dark place.
The Goal:
We’re raising $15,000 to build and fully equip two classrooms — dedicated spaces where kids can feel safe, cared for, and loved while their mom does the hard work of getting her life back.
This isn’t just a room. It’s a chance for a child to feel normal, cared for, and secure — maybe for the first time in a long time — while healing happens down the hall.
You’re providing a room where a child feels safe. You’re providing a place to play while mom heals. You’re providing hope for a family starting over.
The How:
To help fund Rooms4Hope, I’m running 100 miles — non-stop — at Chain O’Lakes State Park in northern Indiana on October 10-11, against a 30-hour cutoff.
It’s not about the finish line. Every one of those miles is for a kid who needs a safe place to grow.
