Director of GO Medical
My husband is a pastor, and when we went to a church planting conference we fell in love with the vision of GO Ministries. Following the conference, we began the church planting process and went to an assessment to start our own church, where I had to provide all of my personal information. GO discovered that I was a doctor, and Pastor Isaias asked my husband if I would like to work for the clinic. I sent my resume to HR, and later they called to hire me. I began working in the Medical Center as a doctor, but then they proposed that I become the Director of GO Medical – something that I would not have imagined but God had planned.
What I like about working for GO is our missional vision, love for one another, and desire to help others succeed. My favorite part of my job is being on mission, knowing that I am where God wants me to be, and serving with our brothers and sisters in Christ in other parts of the world.
I had heard about GO Ministries, and then a friend referred me when there was an opening for a doctor. I chose to work for GO because of GO’s Christian foundation and values, and because the Medical Center feels like home. In addition, I choose to work for GO because we help people without seeking a profit.
My favorite part of my job is offering understanding to the patients and serving in remote villages and other communities.
I first began serving with GO as a volunteer with the medical ministry. I chose to work with GO because I believe in the ministry because of their hard work serving, evangelizing, and helping communities. My favorite part of my job is to give God’s love through the talents and gifts he has placed in me.
Director of Nursing
My brother first invited me to attend GO Central Church with him. At that time, the woman who cleaned the church was pregnant. In her absence I was hired to help clean the church, and later began helping Tata with mission groups. I was promoted to work in the kitchen and meanwhile, began studying to become a nurse. Upon completion of my studies I began working at the Medical Center.
I decided to work for GO because I like to serve, be on mission, and feel welcome here. I like the way GO works. My favorite part of my job is sharing with others and serving.
Staff Nurse/ Pharmacy Manager
Before working for GO I visited the Medical Center as a patient and through GO’s treatment and their way of working I realized that I liked serving others, so I turned in my application for any opportunity to be considered for staff. God made a way for me as a dental assistant, and later as the pharmacy manager, my current position.
I love my job because the work environment is excellent since we all have the calling to serve and share the gospel of Christ. GO Ministries is my family.
I was regularly attending Central church and looking for a job, so I asked Samira to help me. Samira told me to bring her my resume, which she took to the Medical Center. At first GO Ministries hired me as a cook, but the following year I was called about working in the clinic. I began working in the clinic while continuing my job as a cook, but now I work solely in the clinic.
I chose to work for GO because I like the way the ministry works. My favorite part of my job is being able to help and guide people.
I choose to work for GO because the job is a new way for me to bring help to people in need. My favorite part of my job is to be able to help people that come to the Medical Center.
I was regularly attending GO Central Church when I told Pastor Eduard that I needed a job, so the church hired me to work in the clinic as a security guard. I decided to work for GO because I like the way GO Ministries operates, and when I was a kid I helped with mobile clinic trips to Barahona and always loved those trips.
My favorite part of my job is seeing the patients receive the help that they need.
My friend from GO Central Church asked me if I would like to start working with her, because she needed help working in the kitchen. After I began working with GO as a Cook, I was praying to God about working in the Medical Center, when an job opening appeared for someone to clean the Medical Center. GO’s office then called me to see if I would like to work in the clinic.
I chose to work for GO because of the way they help others, provide me with growth opportunities, and open the door for those who need it. My favorite part of my job is how my coworkers treat me, understand me, and help me.
