USING SPORTS AS A VEHICLE FOR TRANSFORMATION
GO SPORTS CHICAGO
2026 Goals:
Your partnership with our ministry has grown to include new opportunities. Here are highlights of where we are headed in 2026:
LEGACY SOFTBALL
When Erick Correa couldn’t find a softball team for his daughter to join, he decided to start a team for her and her friends. In just three years, one team became an entire program serving girls from 8-18. Erick has a vision for his softball program to become a vehicle for discipleship and will be coming on staff to run Legacy as our first transformational softball program.
APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
Former Westinghouse players Cornell Montgomery and Donta Cox, will be taking on a larger role in our ministry this year as Transformational Coaches. With a desire to grow as leaders and disciple-makers, they will be coming on staff
part-time. Beyond the group that will serve as summer apprentices, these two will be a critical way in which we are strategically developing leaders to answer the call of local coaches asking for our model to be present in their
programs.
SUSTAINED IMPACT
Trusting the process that has helped a growing number of students experience the transforming power of Jesus Christ, we will continue faithfully developing young men through football at Westinghouse and Prosser High Schools.
This year our budget has grown in pace with our staff and expanded programming. With our target of $335,000 we will be able to:
- Provide a transformational experience for 140 high school football players across two campuses
- Provide a transformational experience for 40 girls through Legacy Softball
- Hire two local leaders as year round apprentices
- Take on 12 new apprentices this summer and expand to a second camp location
- Serve 220 elementary and middle school students through apprentice run summer camps
