GO Interns live, serve, and worship alongside GO Ministries staff, local leaders, and short-term teams. Interning with GO is much more than a summer trip. It’s an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus and experience our disciple-making culture.

I came into this summer with few expectations. I was expectant for God to do some big things, and He did greater things than I could have even imagined! It’s overwhelming to know that I got to participate in God’s work on the island while knowing that nothing I did was actually my own doing.
In John 15:5, Jesus says to His disciples, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. Apart from me, you can do nothing.”
These past 5 1/2 weeks taught me to live as a branch. I learned more deeply what it means to be dependent upon Jesus and on community, because being a branch means connecting not only to Jesus but also to community—other branches—to produce the fruit of love and transformation.”

“This was one of the most rewarding and cup-filling experiences of my life. The Lord put so many people and opportunities in my life that I would have missed if He hadn’t led me to the island.
It was amazing to see, firsthand, the mutual transformation and local empowerment that GO talks so much about. GO gives each local leader, intern, and team member opportunities that will have a greater impact than anyone could imagine.
To be the hands and feet of Jesus is humbling. None of the work we do is on our own and is all for the glory of God.
This internship has been one of the biggest steps in my life to learn what it truly means to love and serve as Jesus did.”
